Such elements of power units are divided into piezoelectric, electrohydraulic, electromagnetic and mechanical. Each type has its own characteristics, as well as areas of application. Mechanical nozzles are considered a classic option. They have been used for decades. Fuel enters directly into the annular chamber, raises the needle, and opens the nozzle. The design is simple and reliable. However, it does not fulfill the characteristics required for diesel power units.
