Frequent changes in piston direction cause the oil film to break, causing boundary friction. Because of the influence of combustion products, the upper belt of the sleeve is subject to electrochemical corrosion. With insufficient thickness, due to the variable pressure, the cavities of the cylinder make radial vibrations. This accelerates the wear of both the sleeve and the walls of the corresponding block. Therefore, it is important to install a special gasket in a timely manner. It will protect the entire mechanism from destruction.
