The rectifier of the alternator is a device that converts the alternating current, which is produced by the automobile generator, into direct current. The unit is located at the rear of the generator and consists of fins and diodes that pass current in one direction. The functionality of the alternator rectifier

An automobile or motorcycle generator performs the function of providing all equipment with electricity. But the generator is capable of producing only alternating current, and it is not suitable for ensuring the operability of electrical equipment. In order to convert alternating current into direct current, a rectifier is mounted at the generator output.
