The intercooler is an integral part of the turbocharged engine system. The intercooler acts as a cooler for the air flow passing through the boost and acts as a heat exchange system. That is, the intercooler sucks warm air from the air stream that comes from the compression.

There are now several types of intercoolers for diesel engines, which have different heat transfer characteristics. However, in the production of intercoolers, the main criteria are the indicators of maximum heat removal, increased inertia of the air flow, as well as the minimum pressure loss of the turbine itself.
