The construction of the headlight
The schematic diagram is the same for all types of headlights. The design provides for the presence of 4 mandatory elements:
Body: frame thermoplastic base, in which the actuating elements are located; protects internal components from mechanical damage and moisture.
Source: End cap lamps for omnidirectional lighting effect. Light emitters are: with tungsten filaments, halogen, LED, xenon (gas-discharge).
Reflector: transforms radiation into a concentrated light beam through a chrome-plated surface. Modern cars are equipped with step-type reflectors, in which each section of the element area is responsible for its own lighting zone. There are one- and two-piece reflectors. In a two-piece design, the optical assembly consists of two components: for low beam and high beam.
Diffuser: Provides light distribution and headlamp tightness protection. The main material is transparent plastic.
